It’s not easy holding your 4-year-old in the OR while they put laughing gas in him. They say it’s normal to flop around a little just before they go to sleep. He did.
Anyway, son #4’s eye test went well. There’s nothing wrong with his eyeballs. The doc wants to see what’s going on with his optic nerves, so we have an MRI scheduled for Saturday morning. Unfortunately, that puts the start of our vacation at least a day and a half out.
When my sweet wife told the boys that we wouldn’t be leaving Friday morning, they were of course, disappointed. Later son #3 asked, “Where will we be Saturday?” My sweet wife said, “We’re not leaving on time, so we’ll still be at home.” He said, “No, I meant where ~would~ we be on Saturday?” She told him we’d be in the middle of Wyoming. He said, “Don’t they have hospitals there?”
Oh boy...
Have a great weekend. More story on Monday.
Enjoy today’s Jokes!

[>Wish us luck!]
Marty-I enjoy your jokes & family musings. But..luck has nothing to
do with how things will turn out for son #4. If your family
believes in God & goes to church, you should know this already-the
proper thing to have said was, 'say a prayer for us' or... 'say a
prayer for him.' (wouldn't you rather have God on your side then
'luck'?)
Rita
[Oh please... with all we have to worry about right now, semantics
are not high on the list. Yes we believe in God and in his Son
Jesus Christ. Yes, we go to church ~at least~ once a week. And yes,
we pray. We are taught to “Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings,
and he will direct thee for good;” So we pray a lot. Yes, please
pray for son #4. ~And~ wish us luck.]
